I’m Destiny Kathman, a BMI-registered songwriter and music producer. The name Broken Records says a lot about what I believe: music doesn’t have to be perfect. Sometimes the cracks are where the story lives.

I believe the best music comes from something real. The stories we’ve lived, the things we’ve lost, the mistakes we’ve made, and the feelings we sometimes don’t know how to say out loud.

I work both independently and with other artists, developing everything from individual lyrics and melodies to complete songs and albums.

Whether I’m writing for myself or creating with another artist, my goal is the same: find the heart of the song and make it feel honest.

Sometimes that means changing one word. Sometimes it means building an entire song from the ground up.

Either way, I’m here for the music that means something. The kind that doesn’t just sound good, but feels true.
