Here at Broken Records Music, and let’s just acknowledge the name’s deliberate nod to the shattered, jagged-edged realities of the ones we serve, we dive headlong into the messy, glorious enterprise of co-creating with music artists, those luminous, tortured, brilliant beings- all of them carrying the weight of where they’ve been, unknown paths, small-town silences and horrible performances that eventually forged them.

Our mission, if you can call it that without sounding like a corporate retreat pamphlet, is to sit with these artists, to listen, really listen to the stories they need to tell, whether it’s a single syllable swapped in a lyric, a word that shifts the whole song’s center of gravity, or a full-blown album, track after track pouring out like a fever dream we’ve been entrusted to score. We’re here for the minuscule and the infinite, tweaking every line to make it bleed truth or building a sonic cathedral from the ground up. 

We don’t forget, couldn’t forget, even if we tried, the raw, unfiltered struggle that got these artists here, their stories, their scars, and we weave it into the music, into the lyrics that say what they need said. We help shape their image, not some glossy veneer, but the real thing, the jagged, authentic edges of who they are, and we shout it, whisper it, or wail it, exactly as they want it shouted, whispered, or wailed.
