Outlaw Country comes from years of
dedication, love of family, being American, and a deep
appreciation of American music. They are Carpenters,
Masons, Painters, Laborers, and even farmers, just
everyday people like you and me. Growing up, they had
been influenced by Kiss, Motley Crue, AC/DC, Lynyrd
Skynyrd, The Scorpions and many other rock bands of
their teenage years. But, if anyone ever says they
haven't listened to, or wasn't influenced by country
music, there probably wrong. Although performing most of
his musical career up to this point in rock bands, Jamie
would come to listen mostly to country music as he grew
older. It seemed only natural after his last, fairly
successful, rock band broke up, after only 3 years, to
turn to country music.
Norm Coleman, the producer of the last rock album
Jamie had performed on recognized his potential to be a
great country performer. So when he came to Jamie
suggesting he "go country", it didn't take much prodin.
So here we are today...
Norm knew the right guys to bring
together, a culmination of rock, blues and
country artists each bringing their
unique style. Jim Morgan, former guitarist with Fly on
guitar, Scott Fisher who also plays drums for Crop
Circle on drums, Joe Boettger on keys. Jamie recruited
Smudge on bass, Smudge played breifly as the bassist for
After The Ashes.
Outlaw Country is not your typical
country, it's Country with a Rock edge, Contemporary Contry, it's OUTLAW COUNTRY!
Country Music is music which is
unique to the USA. It is all about a lifestyle. Country
folk are down to earth, hard working individuals the
likes of which helped shape this great land. Settlers
pioneered their way westward to settle in all parts of
what is now the 48 contiguous states of the United
States of America. They planted crops and started
ranches, built cities and tamed the "Wild West". In the
process they helped create the legends of the great
American Cowboy. They rode in the North, South, East,
West, Southwest, Northwest, the Great Plains, in
Kentucky, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Wyoming and as far north
as Montana and North Dakota. You didn't have to be from
the south to be a cowboy, they were everywhere... and
Country Music was born!
